About the Talk: There will be tremendous uptake of AI and robotics over the next few decades, but perhaps most of that will be more mundane than many imagine.

About the Speaker: Rodney Brooks was Director of the MIT Artificial Intelligence Lab from 1997 to 2003 and the founding Director of the Institute's Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL), and served in that role until 2007. In 1990, he co-founded iRobot (NASDAQ: IRBT), where he served variously as CTO, Chairman and board member until 2011. In 2008 he founded Rethink Robotics where is he Chairman and CTO.
