The International Future Energy Challenge (IFEC) is an exciting global energy competition that gets future energy leaders to compete to develop the most efficient DC-DC converter for residential energy storage systems.

Student teams from around the world compete to develop a high-efficiency, high power density isolated bidirectional DC-DC converter for residential energy storage systems. Out of many who submitted proposals, 17 semi-finalist were selected. And out of 17, only 10 outstanding teams were selected to compete in the finals for a $10,000 grand prize. The final competition will be held at Tsinghua University in Beijing, China.
