IEEE Summit on Green Energy 2015

Brussels, Belgium

Towards Secure Green Energy is the second in a series of high-level discussions bringing influential policy makers together with prominent engineers and scientists to discuss critical issues in technology policy for Europe. In light of the ongoing Energy Union debate, energy is high on the EU policy agenda and questions around decarbonisation, security of supply and cost-effectiveness have become more important than ever.

The Summit discusses present and future energy policies and initiatives to enable the transition to a low carbon economy. It provides three dynamic panel debates, each including both policy makers and technologists, to address the following questions:

  • When will green become the new normal?
  • How reliable is reliable enough?
  • Green, yes! Reliable, yes! But who pays?

The panels are moderated by Jacki Davis, an experienced journalist, speaker and moderator of high-level events in Brussels and EU national capitals.
