IEEE-HKN member Marcian E. "Ted" Hoff is presented with the Eminent Member Recognition award at the 2012 EAB Award ceremony held in Austin, Texas on February 15, 2013. This Award is very exclusive only have been given to 128 individuals since 1950 and was established as the Society’s highest level of membership. Ted Hoff was selected to receive this award because his contributions to the fields of electrical and computer engineering has significantly benefited humankind. Ted Hoff is an innovator and inventor who has accumulated 17 patents over his lifetime and is credited with developing the first microprocessor.
