Pascal Maussion
Pascal Maussion, IEEE Senior Member, IES and IAS Member, received his MSc and PhD degrees in Electrical Engineering from Université de Toulouse, Institut National Polytechnique, France, in 1986 and 1990, respectively. He is currently full Professor at Université de Toulouse-Toulouse INP and researcher with CNRS research Laboratory: LAPLACE, LAboratory for PLAsma and Conversion of Energy in CODIASE (Control and Diagnostic of Electrical Systems) group.
His research activities deal with the design of experiments as an optimisation and modelling tool in control and diagnosis. He works on the diagnosis and lifespan modelling of electrical systems such as drives and lighting, on the design (according to the frugal innovation principles) and the control of power converters for energy efficiency improvement in renewable energy systems for remote areas, on the control of induction heating systems and on life cycle assessment in renewable energy systems.
He is currently Toulouse INP Vice President for the International Affairs.
