This event was conducted collaboratively on 17 May, 2020. It was celebration of "World Telecommunication & Information Society Day (WTISD) 2020".

IEEE Pune Section took the initiative. The collaborative professional bodies were the Institution of Engineers (India), IEI Pune Local Centre, Institution of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineers, IETE, Pune Centre, Institution of Engineering and Technology IET, Pune Network.

The theme was "Connect 2030: ICTs for the sustainable development goals (SDGs)". Dr. Ashutush Dutta, IEEE Fellow, Sr. Scientist, Johns Hopkins University, USA was the theme speaker. He delivered the talk on "5G Networks, Security, and Applications - IEEE Future Networks Perspective".
