Scarlett Lanzas, MPA, is a social entrepreneur and nonprofit management executive with a demonstrated history of working with public and private sector agencies, nonprofits and international development and humanitarian organizations.
Scarlett founded Accountable Impact, a Miami-based nonprofit activating local and global networks to accelerate the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to co-design programs that must balance social, environmental, and economic sustainability in South Florida. At the United Nations World Food Programme, she worked in international development programs and humanitarian food assistance in emergency operations, relief, and recovery operations.
Scarlett was appointed Chair for IEEE Planet Positive 2030, an initiative supported by the IEEE (the world’s largest technological association focused on advancing technology for humanity) Standards Association (IEEE SA) that brings together a global diverse, open community of experts to chart a path for all people to achieve a flourishing future for 2030 and beyond. Through her organization, she leads Planet Positive 2030 Miami in partnership with Miami Dade College Earth Ethics Institute.

She was elected Board President for the United Nations Association (UNA-USA) Miami Chapter. UNA-USA is part of the United Nations Foundation and seeks to connect supporters with U.S. decision makers in support of a world that is just, peaceful, and prosperous on a healthy planet.
Scarlett serves as Chair on the Board of Directors of Seaworthy Collective, a blue-tech ocean innovation accelerator. She serves on the Board of Directors of Climate Week Miami 2024-2030, an inclusive platform to engage local organizations, policymakers, corporate visionaries, youth, scientists, entrepreneurs, and produce high-level discussions on various cross-cutting issues and solutions on climate threats. She co-founded Social Impact Movement, a Miami nonprofit organization and a catalyst for change for youth activism on the SDGs. She co-founded Emergent Global Consulting, a consultancy and advisory firm providing services to organizations, public institutions and corporations that focus on sustainable development and social impact.
Ms. Lanzas holds an Executive Master of Public Administration degree from Florida International University; a master’s in international development and a bachelor’s degree in international relations. Scarlett supports causes ranging from civic engagement, social and environmental justice, and the protection of human rights around the world. She is committed to fostering relationships and developing partnerships with organizations that work on the achievement of the UN SDGs.
