Simon Lucas is a professor of computer science to the University of Essex, one of the top ten research universities in the UK. His research interests are machine learning and games, evolutionary computation, and pattern recognition. He's the founding editor-in-chief of the IEEE Transactions on Computational Intelligence and AI in Games.
