As AI product experiences grow, Edge computing — running compute workloads closer to users or data sources (rather than in centralized cloud data centers) — is becoming central to how AI products deliver faster, lower latency, more private, and more context-aware experiences. This talk will highlight evolving product experiences and infrastructure architectures, and advantages, design tradeoffs, and challenges of bringing compute closer to where the end users are located.

Presented by Rohith Unnikrishnan, Technical Program Manager in Network Infrastructure at Meta
